This is a list of the Tribes which can be found in this RPG. Originally the RPG will start with two playable tribes, scattered throughout the city and it's surroundings. But after a while, members will be free to request their own tribes, or staff made tribes will be added, so more freedom becomes available for all the characters. As Tribes are made, they will get added in this list. You will find a description of the Tribe, where they have their location, their history, about their inner culture (ie, clothing, make-up etc.), if they are open or closed for new tribe members (IC) etc. etc.

It is mandatory to read this, even if you don't want to belong to a tribe!

Playable City Tribes

Tribe Vesta

Tribe Vesta was formed by a few older teenagers who took care over a few younger kids and sought refuge in an abandoned high school building quite soon after the adults died. Because of this they were able to secure a lot of the resources found in the high school. They own a wide variety of electronic machines, computers, furniture, paper, batteries, battery chargers and cooking equipment etc. etc. For the first few weeks they could survive on the food found in the school’s cafeteria. And didn’t really have to go out in the most dangerous times after the adults died (the loneliness) searching for food. Nowadays it’s harder and more dangerous to get by food and they need to go out and search for it or trade with tribes outside the city. Going outside the high school is dangerous as they need to stay away from the dangerous tribes, so the younger children are forbidden to go outside so they don’t attract unwanted attention. Water is even harder to get by, and they either get from rain or from the close by river. Although sometimes the kids get sick from contaminated water.

Up until now they stayed out of the picture from other, more dangerous tribes out for territory. And not many found their hiding place here. Some did and joined the tribe, others have been scared off. Mainly younger kids are easily taken into the Tribe. The group now exists of around 25 children and teenagers, there are more children then older teenagers though. New members don’t join often and the decision if someone can join or not is done by a democratic voting by the entire tribe. Although the leader(s) has the final say.

As there is a large variety in ages and backgrounds, there are some tensions within the tribe. Older kids always have to look after the younger ones and keep them out of trouble. And if they have to defend themselves it’s hard as there aren’t many fighters, and the largest number in the tribes are the younger kids. A lot of the older kids have different views for the future as well and sometimes this can result in fights. In the end though, the tribe stick together and protects each other. Even in the rough times when it’s hard to get by food and water.

Tribe Statistics:

Mostly consists out of younger children and pre-teens and a few older teenagers (around ten) Around 25 tribe members in total, three older teenagers are seen as the ‘leaders’ of the tribe. (either two boys and one girl, or two girls and one boy)

Tribe Psycho

In the early days this tribe started out as an anarchistic group of teenagers that plundered the city and quickly took the west industrial area of the city as their ‘territory’. They stuck together because it was easier to fend off other groups of hungry children. But many of the members were aggressive and it was everybody for him/herself. Many joined up for a little while, and left again, or were beaten up or kicked out if they did something ‘wrong’.

After a month or so one of the older boys stood up and decided a little hierarchy should be established (well so far it was the strongest who got the most). He bombarded himself as leader, and because this boy was so charismatic everyone took a liking to him. It was an easy transition for the most part, only a few didn’t like it but were quickly ‘kicked out’. Most of the kids called themselves the Psycho’s already, a name chosen because it could scare weaker kids away. And so the new Tribe leader named the tribe, Tribe Psycho, or simply, the Psycho’s.

In the months afterwards the Tribe grew bigger and became more aggressive towards rivalling tribes. And as their numbers grew they went further into the city to plunder and take the belongings of other weaker tribes. And go into confrontation with other ‘aggressive’ tribes. The leader organized the tribe gradually, and the biggest and strongest members were made to guard and scare away others who threatened the Tribe or wanted to take their territory. A hierarchy was made, where certain top members led different sections of the guards in different areas of their territory.

Everything that was found or taken from other kids/tribes was taken to the headquarters of the tribe. A large abandoned storage house is their base where resources and food are stored, things repaired by the ‘wizkids’ (some held against their will), and put to good use. Here the leader of the tribe also has his quarters on the third floor. Most of the tribe members sleep in the headquarters as well, some of the bigger rooms are made into sleeping areas on the ground floor. The more important members of the tribe (mainly those who lead certain fighter units) have their private rooms on the first and second floor of the building.

All in all this tribe is aggressive, defends their territory from other tribes. Are rivals to some other bigger tribes in the city who live in other parts of the city. They are out to dominate as much of the city as possible and this results in many fights with rivalling tribes and even innocent passer-by’s. They are one of the leading tribes in the city. Keywords are aggressive, anarchistic and violent. It is guessed there are about 100 to 150 kids apart of this tribe.
